Our World
Australian fashion house CAMILLA AND MARC was established in 2003 by siblings Camilla Freeman-Topper and Marc Freeman.
Born from a shared appreciation for modern design, Camilla’s foundation in fashion design and Marc’s background in engineering have shaped the brand’s considered approach to craftsmanship, precision and quality.
CAMILLA AND MARC has evolved into a complete wardrobe, encompassing ready-to-wear, leather goods, footwear, accessories and jewellery. Each collection reflects a distinct Australian perspective, balancing timeless and sculptural silhouettes, with artful and refined detail to bring about a sophisticated and classic perspective.
The woman is at the heart of the brand, with every piece designed with her in mind. Tailored and sculptural silhouettes are shaped through considered construction, strong proportions and a powerful feminine perspective. Clean lines and refined minimalism are balanced by unexpected details and a subtle sense of play, creating a distinctive CAMILLA AND MARC aesthetic.
Quality remains at the fore, with an unwavering dedication to craftsmanship, simplicity and impeccable design.
HISTORY
Camilla studied fashion at Sydney’s Whitehouse Institute of Design before earning a scholarship to complete her Masters of Fashion Design at the Accademia Italiana Arte Moda in Florence. Marc studied engineering and commerce at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), bringing a complementary commercial and analytical perspective to the business.
Following an invitation to debut their first collection, the pair officially launched CAMILLA AND MARC at Australian Fashion Week in 2003 while Camilla was completing her studies in Florence. The debut collection was followed by early international recognition.
In 2009, they opened their first standalone CAMILLA AND MARC store in Sydney’s Paddington, marking an important step in the brand’s growth.
Today, CAMILLA AND MARC has 15 retail stores across Australia, alongside a growing global wholesale presence across New Zealand, UK, France, Germany, the United Arab Emirates and the United States.
Over two decades, the brand has evolved into an internationally recognised independent luxury house, with a design language centred on exceptional fabrication, tailoring, modern silhouettes and enduring wardrobe pieces. At its heart remains the creative partnership between Camilla Freeman-Topper and Marc Freeman, whose contrasting backgrounds and shared vision continue to shape the house today.
