CAMILLA AND MARC Spring Summer 27 PRESENTATION
DESIGNED BY ALEXANDER MAY STUDIO
On 2 October, CAMILLA AND MARC presented its Spring Summer 2027 collection in Paris.
Set within a private Parisian residence at 216 Rue de Rivoli, overlooking the Tuileries, the presentation brought the collection to life through an intimate interplay of fashion, architecture and design. 12 models revealed the collection against the apartment’s distinctive architectural backdrop, creating a setting that formed a natural extension of the CAMILLA AND MARC world.
Working within the existing architecture of 216 Rue de Rivoli, Alexander May studio created a considered interior world of architectural textile panels draped in Kvadrat for Raf Simons, custom Ege cream carpeting, furniture by Louise Roe, and art and objects sourced from Galerie Yves Gastou.
“We wanted the apartment to remain unmistakably Parisian while creating an environment that felt entirely CAMILLA AND MARC. The architecture became the framework, with fabric, carpet, furniture and art shifting the proportions of the rooms and creating a new setting for the collection.” Alexander May
“We were interested in bringing different archetypes together around one table, each with their own character and point of view. The conversations, tension and unexpected combinations that come from those personalities meeting became part of the inspiration for the collection.” Camilla Freeman-Topper, Creative Director, CAMILLA AND MARC.
“The panels establish an architecture within the architecture, altering proportion, perspective and the passage between rooms. Models move through these planes rather than simply occupying them. The ivory carpet creates a continuous horizon, while black lacquer introduces weight, reflection and tension. The apartment becomes a sequence of spatial relationships, with architecture, body and collection understood as one composition.” Alexander May
A restrained palette of rich cream and high-gloss black lacquer create a subtle interplay of softness and structure, echoing the sensibility of the collection.
